We did it!!! We survived the school year unscathed, and I survived my first year of teaching a high schooler! Completion is such a good feeling, and I am looking forward to
some time off.…..who am I kidding? I’m actually looking forward to next year already! I can assure you, my kids are not saying the same thing!
I can see the light at the end of the homeschooling tunnel for the 2018-19 school year! How about you? We are not year-rounders, and I am looking forward as much as the kids are for a long break! My goal is to administer our required standardized testing just after Memorial Day, and when that’s done, we’re done! Unfortunately, due to some changes, starts, and stops, my girl will be working on algebra this summer. One of the many reasons I love homeschooling is that we can work at our own pace. This allows time for real learning and understanding. So, in the sweltering NC heat, we can stay inside and fill in some of the gaps that we need to before moving on.Continue reading “Fanatic News Flash – May”
